The Seacoast Fringe Festival has grown and improved! Fringe’s annual theater productions heighten Portsmouth’s established center-for-the-arts reputation. Enthusiastically received, the three-day event draws large audiences to enjoy to our city.

You’ll find six easy-to-reach downtown venues, each featuring four shows every afternoon. Look for our colorful signs and balloons to lead the way. Admission to performances is about $10.00

After you've enjoyed New Hampshire’s spectacular fall foliage, our festival shows are a perfect ending to the day.

By the way, "Fringe" means out of the mainstream, not weird or far out. Did you know Fringe festivals take place all over the world? The largest and oldest is the month-long Edinburgh Fringe Festival, established in 1947. We’ve learned a lot since our first one, and can proudly boast we are New England’s only Fringe Festival!

You will find free schedules easily available all over town.

Choose (and dance!) between pop and jazz music, African dance and drums, a Klezmer band, Peruvian performers, magicians, comics, plays, storytelling and even a mind reader!

Get your Fringe on! See what Fringe is! Join the fun at the Seacoast Fringe Festival!
